Well.... my main water main and its shut off valve broke in my house this morning. Town came to shut it off from road and THAT valve is also broken. Soo... water just kind of spraying from pipe into my basemwnt waiting for town to dig up my driveway and fix valve then turn it off. Need to miraculously find plumber I can afford (my brother is at the beach today!) To fix valve part in my house then have town turn water back on.

DeleteTheyre digging up road. I called an emergency plumber (bill I cant afford) im just crying on my couch right now. I feel so defeated.

Emergency plumber (only one ive found so far) cant come til 8am tomorrow cause of part. Theyre still digging up to replace valve.

I've had emergency plumbing and furnace issues and they're never convenient or affordable. You just do the best you can given the situation. Not the way you want to spend your day off before a new work week. 😖😡💢
DeleteSo after town left and "fixed" turn off valve at road i opened basement door and heard water pouring into basement. Had to call dispatch to get them back up here.
DeleteFinally fixed that oroblem. In house problem still needs to be fixed. My cousin who is a plumber apprentice is coming to take a look since my brother isnt around so if he cant fix it i can cancel emergency appt for tomorrow AM. Im so tired right now -_-

DeleteI once had a refrigerator line go bad and after they "fixed" it and went out and turned the water on, the pipe fitting broke and flooded my kitchen as I ran outside to tell the worker to turn the water back off. What a mess that was!
