SU/Whole Health Plan

  QUOTE OF THE DAY

A healthy mind, body, and spirit requires constant attention and consistent action

You may know what you want your overall health to "look like," but not how to "make it happen."

The key to getting there lies in:  Creating daily, short-term, and long-term goals, Listing the steps needed to achieve those goals, and Tracking your progress.

  1. We got a decent rain yesterday which we needed (no flooding in my area though, thank you, Linda!) My plants and dead parts of my lawn will be happy.
Today going to take it easy. Really should tale an epsom salt soak.
Going to go to the store thats in the opposite direction I always go in and get my cheaper chicken broth and some watermelon (i got watermelon yesterday and spent more on it and I tried it and it seemed slimey and tasteless! How aggravating!)

    4. Awesome that you got your soak in and had a good day!
I've been outside several times with Bella, enjoying the breeze and short reprieve from high humidity.
I also took a few minutes to try and desensitize her to the inside of the car. I don't know why she hates the car as she only rode home in it as a puppy and once to a store, but, she wouldn't behave on the ride to/from the store, so I haven't taken her for a ride since.
Today I opened the car door and sat in the driver's seat while she was in the yard. I called her over and picked her up and held her, and praised her for being good while I held her. I then set her down on the yard and let her run around for a minute. Then I called her to the car and encouraged her to jump up to the floorboard. She did it and I was one proud pupper Mama! πŸΆπŸ‘She stayed about 10 seconds and then jumped out of the car. Progress indeed!
It's been a good day for me. Nothing exciting, which is fine by me. πŸ˜€

    5. Aww good Bella!! Funny how sometimes dogs are just very averse to things (but hey we have phobias too! Like heights etc!) I like "non exciting" days. I still love the saying my grandparents used, too of "No news is good news". Sometimes just quiet and "underwhelming" is just what we need!

    6. Love your grandparents saying and it's so true too!

    7. Late checking in. Spent my afternoon working word, jigsaw & sudoku puzzles. I also weeded out a basket of old magazines. So sorry about the watermelon, Cel. People here have complained it’s been flavorless. I haven’t bought any. Julie, good job with Bella! We had a dog that always got car sick. The vet was @ 30-40 minutes away. It was always a tough ride for her. Poor baby! Hope Bella continues to do well! Enjoy your evening friends!
