Pssst! You're Old!
Do you remember when you were a kid and couldn't wait to be older?
Of course, most of us were thinking about gaining the privileges that older siblings enjoyed, or being able to decide our outfits,foods to eat, and activities without parental control, right?
I think it's safe to say none of us were thinking about the stuff that happens when you get old. Some of the changes that happens as we age isn't fun, or, anything to laugh about.
However, some changes are hilarious to those of us who have learned not to take everything so seriously.
In what ways is the fact that you are no longer a, spring chicken becoming more and more apparent which each passing day?
My eyes are "old!"
ReplyDeleteI had entered my breakfast of 2 maple-flavored sausages, (in a wrap with cheese & kale,) into my fatsecret food diary. All day I thought something was odd. I looked at the entry from a previously eaten food entry for the same food item I had saved. It said the serving size was 3 links. I had looked at the package this morning and thought it said 2. So, I grab my trusty magnifying glass which, I'm using more every day, and look at the package. It indeed is supposed to be 3 links. You can believe I heated and ate that link since I had already "charged" myself for it! Lol!

DeleteThat is funny! On Thursday, I thawed what I was sure was a package of chicken only to find out it was shrimp. Had to develop plan B for dinner. 🤦🏽♀️ Maybe I need a magnifying glass!

DeleteMy magnifying glass that I got for puzzles is a "miracle" eye! Remembering to use it still eludes me sometimes though. I should put the magnifier on a lanyard. Ha!
