  1. Today is a fasting day so will eat a piece of light 12 grain toast to take my meds with and break it with dinner tonight. Coffee and lots of water for today!

    1. Sounds like you've got a solid plan for your fasting day, Cindy!
      I'm sipping an iced coffee black right now. Unsweetened black tea and water, with an optional second iced coffee, black this afternoon,(if I want one.) Is my fasting day plan.🌞

    3. I had a diet coke around 11am. According to the info I've been able to find, this is an ok liquid to consume while fasting. Some say that it will increase a desire for sugary beverages/foods, but, it never has before, so I don't think it will today. Time will tell of course. Right now, coming up on noon, I'm sipping a 16.9oz. chilled water.
      My area is under a heat advisory 11a-7p. so, I'm keeping that in mind to stay hydrated, (mindful not to over-hydrate as well )
      Need to make a trip to the phone store to rectify an issue with the free HBO streaming app on my phone wouldn't open. Thinking I will hold off until tomorrow am, so I'm not out during the intense heat of the day.
      Sorry, I seem to have injected my Daily Goals into this reply. 😁

    4. Well, we did it, Julie! I still haven’t broken my fast, which is a little longer than I anticipated, but I had to get my mowing done first. Looking forward to a grilled zucchini boat my husband is putting together. will be fabulous!. Congratulations on a successful fasting day, I had so much energy, I didn’t know what to do with it. Lol.!

      I broke my fast with a grilled cheese and deli slice on whole wheat bread and a Vllasic pickle spear. I did also have a pickle spear around 2:30pm, while still in my fast . I didn't nap today, but, I can't say I had any extra energy. I think being cooped-up in my bedroom (sole- air conditioned room,) sapped my energy today.
      Looking forward to how tomorrow will feel:-)

    7. I’m sure that’s got to be the major part of your lack of energy. and my go today because the temperature was so much better. I had no arthritis pain for a change and I just felt so much better. Hoping you get a break in your heat.

  2. Well, today isn’t as much about what I’ll be eating as what I’m cooking lol! I’m smelling delicious cube steak in a crockpot, already preparing for my husband’s lunch. I ,on the other hand, will be working hard on portion control at a Mexican potluck lunch at bookclub. No plans for dinner yet.

      I'm sure your hubby will enjoy his lunch.
      I would have a hard time portioning Mexican foods, so yummy! You can do it though with determination!
      I'm feeling great after my "refresh" day yesterday. I'm sipping on an iced-coffee, black at the moment. My appetite hasn't kicked into full gear yet, so I'm not thinking about what I may have to eat at the moment. Just appreciating my body and it's miraculous internal workings, even if there are some "quirks" I have to work around at times. 🌞

  3. Will have a slice of 12 grain light toast to take my meds with this am, making a crustless taco pie with my grandies for lunch so will have a small slice, not sure what I will choose from the menu out tonight with my college roommate, but will portion control it.

  6. Light breakfast, lunch: BLTs (garden tomatoes), sweet corn on the cob, garden cucumbers and grapes in poppyseed dressing.
    Dinner: whatever they serve at couples golf tonight. Portion control!!

  7. For breakfast I had 3 Banquet brown-n- serve sausages with mustard, 1/2 cup chopped kale on a hotdog bun.
    For lunch I'm having a prepared chicken Caesar salad. Not sure about supper yet.

  8. I had a serving of Honeycomb Cereal and 1/2 cup of lactose free 2% milk for breakfast. I haven't had cereal for a long time. Not the best cereal choice, but, it was tasty.
    Not sure about lunch and supper yet.

  9. That’s kind of funny Julie, because that’s the only cereal in my cupboard as well!. I made a snack from it last week. It’s a nice treat. I can’t decide what to eat, so I have nothing to add here.

  10. I started my day with lemon water and a shot of my new thai lemon basil vinegar I treated myself to yesterday. Having coffee and broth. Gonna eat very clean today and easy on my belly. Been mainly eating guac and salad past 2 days but my body is unhappy from all the traveling

    Made my traditional Sunday morning breakfast for/ with hubby of hashbrowns, egg, English muffin, and bacon .that should do me until I eat with my mom tonight
