Feedback Request from Julie
My Healthy Plate Life LLC. 2023.
Good evening, or, day, depending upon where you live.
I hope everyone is doing Jim-Dandy!
Tomorrow will be 2-weeks in on this blog. There have, and most likely will continue to be, "commenting" issues for some.My apologies for that! The user-friendliness, will improve once I get a laptop, so I can "redesign" features and add functions not available "via," the mobile designing, I'm currently using.
I am asking for your honest feedback on your overall experience visiting, reading, and commenting, "name issue's aside," on this blog.
Are there "segments" you enjoy, and want them to continue?
Are there "segments," you don't like, and would like them dropped from daily, or, other "postings"?
Would you rather just have a "Chat Hub", daily, and nothing else?
What would you like "added" to the blog as this "space" belongs to "all of us."?
I thank you all in advance for any feedback you share. My intent is to make this an enjoyable environment for all, within my capabilities.
Julie
I think that, as much as I like the many places I can comment, I think less would be more.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Julie and all!
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. I’d like to say right up front that Julie, you have done SUCH a remarkable job and have given SO much of your time and effort into this that it just blows my mind! Thank you SO much for all your work!!!!!!
Having said that, I think a question that first comes to mind, is how much time DO you spend on this daily Julie? Tweeking, writing, moderating, conceptualizing, etc? I ask because I wouldn’t want it to become onerous for you. So I think what and how much YOU do should be a primary factor in determining what to keep, where to cutback and where to go from here.
When I used MP, I only stuck to two boards. I know others participated in a lot of other boards, so may be accustomed to juggling a lot of different threads at once. But it seems to me, that perhaps narrowing things down might be wise. So, whatever you want to call a “health and nutrition” board would encapsulate mind, body and spiritual health (eg. recipes, exercise, and spiritual content) so it may not be necessary to break it up into three separate entities/boards the way it is now.
Same goes for a “support & motivation” board - this could include thoughts, well wishes and prayers, fun/funny stuff, daily goals, even things like my short & sweet.
While I enjoy the chat hub, again, I’m not sure it needs to stand alone. I think our chats have always seemed to naturally evolve in the above two threads that I mentioned. We’ve often gone off on tangents within specific boards and no one seemed to mind, so I would question the need for a separate board for chatting.
So, that’s my take on it. They’re just my thoughts, and not negative criticism in any way, shape or form of all the hard work and effort you’ve put into this for us, pease know that Julie. I think I can safely say that we are all so very appreciative!!!
Well said rosie! I am SO very grateful for ALL you’ve done to keep us together Julie! I will agree with Beth, less is more. I’m trying to keep up with all the boards, admit it’s a bit time consuming and I’m trying not to repeat myself crossing them. Just my input for what it’s worth 🤷♀️
ReplyDeleteJulie thank you for all you are doing for us all to stay in touch I agree with Rosie about chatting on one page thanks again we appreciate it
ReplyDeleteMy reply just got dropped, so here I go again …
ReplyDeleteWell said Rosie, I so appreciate ALL you’ve done to keep us together here Julie! I will go along with Beth in saying less is more. I’m trying to keep up on all the boards, but it is a bit time consuming and I’m trying not to repeat while crossing them. just my opinion, for what it’s worth
You have done wonderful job Jam I'm going to agree with everyone else keep it simple for your sake. I can tell you spend so much time working on this everyday 💘 I usually just open whichever segment is at at the top to check in with everyone. 2 segments would be perfect like Rosie said that's about all I visited on MP as well.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of the above! Having a simple mind, I’ve been seeking a simpler life. You should do whatever simplifies your life Julie, because you are simply wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie for all the work you are doing on this blog! I love keeping up with everyone! I don’t always drop in every day and when I do, I think I end up missing great content simply because I don’t navigate efficiently. But, even though fewer places are better for me, ponder first and foremost what’s better for you!
ReplyDeleteBut to add, I would definitely miss Rosie’s site!!
ReplyDeleteCindy, You can see Rose's Short & Sweets by going to the menu button at the top left side of the blog page, above the title. Click on it, and you will find it in the mind/body/ spirit board. Her newest will be added tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm late to the conversation, but I agree with everyone else, less is more. It's difficult for me to keep up with a lot of pages & topics & as you the moderator, it must be difficult to keep up as well. I do like being able to pop on and say hi and not have a million different places to scroll through.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your hard work, I'm enjoying this very much!
Thank you all for your honest feedback. I teally appreciate it! Feel free to express your experience, issues, concerns at any time. I will "listen" and take what you share with me seriously. I care about "each," of you, and this blog environment. Julie
