Hey everyone!! Happy Tuesday!! <3 Bean
ReplyDeleteHello! Hope you are resting and feeling OK. You deserve to take a few days off!
DeleteAh-ha! Finally found you, you funny little bean! Feeling ok?
DeleteGood morning Bean! I hope you're recovering well.
ReplyDeleteI got a walk in with Bella. I have a few chores to attend to before work.
Tyler didn't approve of a wet cat food I got from Aldi's so I'm opening a can of 9-lives right now!
Have a great Tuesday evetybody!
Good morning! The way I get pets used to a new food is to start slowly (like with kids) and mix a small amt of new with the old brand, gradually increasing. It might work with Tyler!
DeleteGood morning! Good morning! Good morning! My breakfast was ‘the usual’ What did you have?
ReplyDeleteGood morning Beth! I had the usual too; a whole grain, low-fat English muffin with 1/4 avocado. And THREE cups of black coffee to get me going!
DeleteGood morning chaos crew! It’s time to do Jam proud for all her hard work! Time to use all of the skills we learned on MyPlate to continue to be strong, fit and healthy! Instead of eating my depression, I’ve been channeling it into extra laps with my trekking poles, yanking out those offending weeds in the garden and cranking up the tunes. What have you been doing to feel better? I
DeleteYou're doing awrsome GM,and setting a fine example for the rest of us! I've got my trek poles by the door pole-Sis! Let's go trekking!
DeleteGM, there is NOTHING better for mood than doing something physical. So, when you’re done pulling weeds at your place, you can come and do mine. Yeah. Can’t help it. I’m a giver.
DeleteSorry I’m still figuring this out! I didn’t mean to attach my comment to Beth’s!
ReplyDeleteNot a problem. I can never seem to type "awesome," correctly. LOL!
ReplyDeleteIf everyone has Google, I can change the comments to sign with google name. For now, will just have to do it this way because I don't want to keep someone out because they don't have a google account.
Good morning! Hit the gym & Willow & I had a long walk. Have a touch of a migraine due to the extreme weather changes setting in - triple digit heat expected all week - it's monsoon season!
ReplyDeleteWe're getting daily thunderstorms here as June begins rainy and hurricane seasons in Florida.
DeleteI hope you don't develop a full migraine! Take care!
Love the rain & thunder just not the migraines - once monsoon gets established then they ease up - have a wonderful day!
DeleteYour poor head, cyn. Hope it doesn’t last too long. A bit cooler here. And we did get an all day and night rain the other day. Boy, did we need it!
DeleteBtw, why does your name have the orange circle with some kind of symbol in it? To the left of you name?
DeleteGood Morning all! Went for my morning walk/jog and am sipping the last of the coffee while I plot my day. It’s hot and humid here, so need to do indoor things this afternoon for sure,
ReplyDeleteGood morning 3P! Hot and humid here in Florida already! I'm currently sipping on an iced Columbian coffee-black. I hope you stay "cool" with indoor air-conditioned activity:-)
DeleteThreeP, I’m so glad to see you here!!
DeleteGood morning everyone! A little black coffee & that was it for me so far I'm going for a short walk with my daughter before it gets too hot YES Rosie I have my cane lol I'm officially a pole sister now
ReplyDeleteGlad you have your cane, north. Geez Louise - don’t lose it or forget it anywhere!
DeleteYay! Soon we’ll have an army of pole dancers making our way down the streets! One good thing about mine are the wrist straps so my feeble hands can drop them! I started wearing arthritis gloves with them and it really helped. Pole Sisters unite!
DeletePole DANCERS GM?? Ho-lee mackerel! You leave myplate and this is what happens? You go girls!!!!
DeleteDon’t know about everyone else, but when I get warmed up I feel as if I’m dancing along the trail with my granny’s groove playlist jamming, heart pumping, dog running and my virtual sisters next to me! BTW tips are acceptable!
DeleteI’m not sure where I’d put my toonie tip Kathy! Lmao!! Guess I’d have to exchange it for an American 2 dollar bill! Dance on, friend!!!
DeleteJust found you guys. Again! Didn’t realize this post was here. Trying to keep my appetite going in the face of stress. Better today than yesterday. Anyway…speaking of appetite, something’s eating my gorgeous Tuscan kale!! I can’t imagine it would be a rabbit since the raised bed is about 3’ off the ground. Squirrels maybe? I’ve brushed Arthur and put his hair around the plants to see if this deters the little munchers, whatever they are.
ReplyDeleteAwww sorry youre having problems with your appetite and your kale rosie roooo. I know you have a lot going on. Sending you all my love and a swift kick in the arse!
DeleteLmfao bean!! I literally snorted when I got to the end of your sentence!
DeleteI’ll admit that there are times when I need a good swift kick in the arse. If I may, I’d love to return the favour! ;-)
Rosie, I have opposite appetite problems! Sorry about your kale. It’s one of my favorite greens too. Look closely under all the leaves and see if you have cabbage worms munching. You can pick them off if you do. They are mucho destructive! If you see tiny bunches of golden dots they are eggs. Smoosh them and destroy. Gardeners are tough!
DeleteYikes, I don’t think I’m tough, GM - I don’t know if I could kill anything, but I REALLY appreciate the advice. I’ll look, but as far as I can tell, it’s literally something big chomping off the tops of the leaves - it’s not little holes that look like anything “buggy”. Honestly, if I didn’t know better, and as I said, the bed is higher off the ground, I’d swear it was rabbits. No deer here. That’s why I’m thinking squirrels?
DeleteGM, I just went out and looked and not a trace of bugs or worms or eggs. I took a photo. Would you be so kind as to check health & nutrition on myplate and see if you have any ideas? I’ll post under the title: GM kale. Thank you so much!
DeleteI looked at pic and commented on other site. I’ve seen the worms in my garden and they eat the edges of the leaves and completely decimate them to the stem at times. Rabbits can jump into containers because I’ve seen them do it and eat my parsley, little savages! Sorry. That’s all I’ve got. You can put insecticide powder like rotenone but I don’t do that. We garden organically. Hope you can save your crop!
DeleteThanks GM! I commented on the other site, too. Looks like we might have to go with the chicken wire if the the dog hair doesn’t work. I really appreciate you taking the time to try to help. I have 6 plants so I’m hoping that at least a couple make it. I’m going the organic route, too. The tomatoes on the other hand are growing like weeds!! Way up over their cages already! And we got a good downpour of rain earlier this evening. Appreciate you!!!
